Explanation of Hardware Condition
Factory Refurbished: Product is refurbished by the original Manufacturer
or an affiliate of the manufacturer. Normally the product will have all of its
documentation, instructions and software. The product will be almost like
new except for a generally reduced warranty and perhaps a sticker on unit
or box indicating the product is refurbished or reconditioned. Some units
may have very minor blemishes due to product handling.
Refurbished: Product is typically refurbished by a 3rd party facility, not the
original manufacturer. This product may have minor blemishes due to
normal product usage and doesn't necessarily come with documentation
and software unless indicated, but has been well tested and generally has
never had any defects.
Used Pulls: Product is pulled out of unit (typically out of a unit that has
been returned from a lease) Typically this product doesn't come with
software or instructions unless indicated.
New Pulls: Product is new and many times the manufacturer will
disassemble new whole units to use parts. Typically this product doesn't
come with software or instructions unless indicated.
New Sealed or Retail Box: Product is brand new sealed and is complete
with manufacturers original warranty unless otherwise noted.
New Open Box: These products have never been used, the only
difference between the "New" and "New Open Box" is that the outside
factory seal has been broken, due to cancelled order, inspection or
mishandling during transporting from warehouse to warehouse. However,
the inside contents are complete.
OEM/New: These items are brand new but does not come with the pretty
box, it may come in bubble wrap and may or may not contain the software
usually a CD or DVD Burner will come with Nero Software but some may
not, depends on the manufacture . The OEM is very popular with system
builders and people who just want to buy a product and really does not
need all the fancy boxes and usually saves you about 30-50% on the
costs. They are also the cheapest way to by an Operating system as the
OEM packages come with the CD-COA Sticker and the booklet in an OEM
package and saves you around a $100 on the cost.
White Box: This the same as a custom built computer, these are custom
built computers already built and ready for sale , they come with certain
parts and come with all hard ware an driver disks ,they come with a 1 year
warranty by the seller
Custom Built: These are the most popular business and home office
computers because they are built to your specs . Each computer is built to
order and you have full control of what goes into the system. What makes
these so popular is the fact the builder can build it to work with what you
actually are going to do with it. These computers normally cost a little more
because you are getting what you need or want in the computer but they
also last longer because the newest computer technology can be installed
at the time of the build and the quality of the components are better.
